  • Mission

Simply Sandwiches has been making sandwiches at St. Cyprian's for over ten years every Friday morning starting at 9:30 a.m. We serve over 10,000 organic vegetarian meals per year to youth, seniors, homeless, people with HIV/AIDS, families, and children with special needs, Our bag lunches include cheese, or peanut butter and homemade jam sandwiches on whole grain bread, fruit and either bags of nuts or granola-type bars depending what the Food Bank has to offer. All ingredients for our lunches come from the SF/Marin Food Bank.

    About Us

We originally were called 'Mother's Kitchen' or 'Simply Supper' a world -wide group of apx. 50 soup kitchens feeding the hungry and the poor under Amma.org. In 2011 we lost our place to cook hot meals. We did find a home at St Cyprians at 2097 Turk Blvd. where we could prepare food not needing to be cooked. Thus was born 'Simply Sandwiches'. Some of us have been volunteering when we were cooking hot meals every Friday. Our core group is just 8 of us. The minimum to make our weekly 200 sandwiches. Each table is for a separate organization. We finish up by noon then a couple of us deliver the boxes of sandwiches to drop off sites in the Tenderloin. If you have Friday mornings free, contact me.
