About Us

Food Recovery Network is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that works with students on college campuses and with food businesses to fight hunger and food waste simultaneously. Food Recovery Network (FRN) members rescue surplus food that would otherwise be wasted and donate it to people in need in their communities.

Since it was founded in 2011, FRN has grown to 230 chapters in 44 states and D.C. Together we've recovered over 2.7 million pounds (that's over 2.2 million meals!) of good food and prevented over 2.4 million kilograms of CO2 emissions.
