  • About Us

    The purpose of the National Conference of Black Political Scientists is: To bring black political scientists together so as to maximize their role in the liberation of black people. To promote the study of political science with particular reference to the black experience. To reflect on the proper means by which political scientists can approach the study of politics with a view toward enriching the black experience. To facilitate the solving of professional problems that are unique to black political scientists. To encourage its membership to actively promote scholarship that shows concern for current political and social problems and policies. Despite its non-partisanship, the National Conference strongly supports freedom of expression, academic freedom, and uninhibited discourse. The National Conference will adopt resolutions deemed appropriate to its membership in pursuit of its mission.

    Membership in the National Conference is open to any black political or social scientist and others interested in the political life and liberation of black people.
