    Humane Society of Live Oak Mission To augment the Live Oak Animal Control Staff through volunteer hours To improve health standards of Live Oak Animal Control by augmenting medical care, including vaccination programs If requested by pet owners, to find new homes for pets which cannot be retained To support/provide foster homes for animals in the City of Live Oak area To promote reduction of unwanted litters through education, spay/neuter programs Provide assistance to pet owners in need when necessary for the welfare of animals To maintain a fund to support the above listed purposes

    About Us

    We are nonprofit organization made up of volunteers from Live Oak, TX and surrounding areas. We are committed to prevent cruelty and suffering to animals, and to provide education of humane practices. Throughout the year, the HSLO provides volunteer assistance to Live Oak Animal Control, helps fund special veterinary needs for LO ACC animals, and facilitates community education through involvement hosting and assisting with special events such as our Annual Pet Pawlooza, and the city of Live Oak's Shin Dig on Shin Oak. All of our activities are financed by donations, fundraising events, and membership dues. Meetings are the 2nd Monday of the month @ 6:30pm in the Live Oak Clubhouse located at 7901 Shin Oak Dr, Live Oak, TX 78233 Membership dues are $12 per year.
