Australian Volunteers International
Australian Volunteers International (AVI) is a leader in international development, with almost 60 years’ experience in Asia, the Pacific, Africa and the Middle East.
AVI’s approach to development is based on a philosophy of participation. We work in partnership with overseas organisations to address local development needs.
AVI does not replace local jobs; we place skilled professionals who share their knowledge and experience that may be difficult to source locally. Our goal is to assist organisations to achieve their own objectives to address community needs.
With the head office based in Melbourne, Australia and offices in eight countries across the globe, AVI offer’s a range of volunteer programs, the majority of which are funded by the Australian Government through AusAID, and managed in collaboration with other agencies.
APPLICATION INFORMATION Restrictions: To be eligible for the AVI Volunteer Program (part of the Australian Government Volunteer Program), you need to be an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or New Zealand Citizen resident in Australia.
