    YWCA Yonkers is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

    About Us

    YWCA Yonkers serves over 4,000 individuals in Yonkers annually. We offer curriculum-based childcare and summer camp; a college and employment prep program for teen girls; a residence for up to 49 vulnerable women; nutritious meals and a variety of activities for seniors; a twice-monthly food pantry; a computer center for work and housing search; and a clothing closet with complementary attire for women.

    YWCA Yonkers is an affiliate of YWCA of the U.S.A., the country’s oldest and largest women's membership movement. The YWCA i s a global movement of women - 25 million across the world - who are brought together by the hope and acknowledgement that together we can create a better world, free from violence against women and sexual abuse, free from illiteracy and homelessness, free from hunger and HIV/AIDS and a fully inclusive world where justice, peace, health, human dignity, freedom, and care for the environment are promoted and sustained through women’s leadership.
