About Us

The object of the Conservancy is: to maintain, improve, promote and protect the acres of parkland and waterfront area of Bay Ridge, from the Verrazano Bridge to and including Owl’s Head Park, for the enjoyment of the public by coordinating the efforts of government agencies and volunteers and securing public and private funding.

The goals of the Conservancy are to:

Evaluate the needed repairs to the parks and waterfront from the Verrazano Bridge to and including Owl’s Head Park; Work with the NYC Parks and Recreation, local politicians and organizations to ensure that approved plans for improvement moving forward; Operate and maintain the parks at a high level so they remain a community asset and economic generator; and continue to serve the thousands of New Yorkers and visitors who use them annually; Provide free and low cost recreational opportunities for all; and Ensure the park’s future financial self sufficiency by developing the remaining commercial nodes.
