The mission of the Jewish Theological Seminary is to nurture sophisticated academic and religious study of Judaism, its history and culture; to shape the Jewish community through the education and training of professional and lay leaders and through the creation, perpetuation and nourishment of a literate laity; and to serve as the educational and spiritual center of Conservative Judaism.
