Middlebury College

Middlebury College offers graduate degree programs in French, German, Italian, Russian, and Spanish. We also offer language immersion programs in Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, and Portuguese. Students at the graduate level have numerous choices. Students are able to earn an M.A. by attending the six-week graduate session in Vermont for four summers, either consecutively or not. You could attend for one summer and then enroll at one of Middlebury’s Schools Abroad in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, or Russia and earn an M.A. in under one year’s time, if you so desired. You could also transfer in credit for up to three approved courses taken after the initial summer of study in Vermont. You could even return to Middlebury for a second summer after your year abroad to meet your requirements, if needed.
