About Us

California State University, Dominguez Hills is a comprehensive urban university located in the city of Carson, primarily serving the South Bay region and greater Los Angeles metropolitan area. Our beautiful 346-acre campus is less than 15 miles south of metro Los Angeles and 6 miles west of Long Beach in the midst of a vital business and cultural community.

Accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), CSU Dominguez Hills has approximately 15,000 students, 700 full and part-time faculty and 600 staff and offers 47 undergraduate and 22 graduate degree programs. Designated as a Hispanic-Serving Institution, the student body is one of the most ethnically diverse in the California and a rich mix of ethnic and cultural diversity is evident on campus.

One of 23 campuses in the California State University system, CSU Dominguez Hills has awarded degrees almost 80,000 graduates since the campus opened.
