The Emerge Project

The Emerge Project is a multimedia storytelling initiative setting out to shift the narrative about who Black people are and the value they bring to the world. We use short films, written narratives, and photography to highlight the beauty, resourcefulness and ingenuity of “ordinary” Black people, shining a spotlight on their efforts to lead change in their communities. We aim to inspire others to action through these stories, and facilitate partnerships, collaboration, and other support that help multiply their efforts and expand their impact. Right now our focus is in South Africa and Brazil, but our goal is to expand to other countries over time!
