At UUSO, we work to create a beloved community where all are valued, where all are treated with compassion and respect. We gather together to freely seek the light. Each of us is on a spiritual path, seeking wisdom and meaning. Our individual experiences shape our paths, but our interactions with each other help challenge and refine our beliefs and understandings. And finally, we gather together, creating this community, and seeking our truths, so that, together, we can help make our world a better place – a more loving, more accepting world with justice and freedom for all souls.

Together, we are working towards personal growth and transformation while also transforming the wider world of which we are part. We hope to find a way to feed, clothe, and house those who have slipped through the ever-widening cracks in our society. We want to extend our beloved community to all of society, letting everyone know they are honored and loved regardless of ability, race, gender, sexuality, class, or ethnicity. We want to be a voice for reason and faith in our society at large. We champion the interdependent web of existence, upon which we depend, and which currently depends on us.
