Portage County RSVP

  • Mission

The mission of the Portage County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program is to promote volunteerism, targeting people age 55 and over, as a means of addressing critical community needs, and to provide a high quality experience that will enrich the lives of the volunteers.

    About Us

Portage County RSVP recruits, refers and supports people age 55 and over in volunteer assignments addressing critical community needs in over 90 local agencies and schools. RSVP also coordinates several intergenerational programs for tutors and mentors. Volunteers receive accident and liability insurance that covers them while volunteering as well as assistance with transportation. Portage County RSVP is part of the federal Corporation for National and Community Service and is sponsored locally by the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Portage County. Email or call for information on hundreds of available volunteer opportunities.
