DELTA HOMELESS MINISTRIES INC

  • Mission

The Abraham Connection offers emergency food and shelter to those in need in Delta County by offering a hand up, not a hand out.

    About Us

On October 23rd, 2022, The Abraham Connection entered it's 13th season of providing meals and overnight shelter to Delta County's hungry and homeless. The shelter is run by a volunteer board of directors and a team of volunteers who provide every aspect of shelter. TAC was started in 2010 with nothing besides the desire to help those in need, a lot of faith, and a $20 donation from a local Rotarian.

Shelter operations started in the basement of a church housing 2-5 people a night, and have grown to the construction of our own facility and an average of 25 people every night. We provide meals amd case management services year round, but are only open for overnight stays from mid October to mid April. During our 2021-2022 sheltering season, we served 2067 meals and provided 1837 bed nights to 112 individuals.
