Evergreen Animal Protective League

The Evergreen Animal Protective League is dedicated to protecting the lives of unwanted, abandoned, and suffering animals. Since 1981, we have committed ourselves to rescuing, sheltering, and finding loving homes for thousands of dogs, cats, and other animals. Through rehabilitation, education, and community outreach, we not only promote compassionate care for all animals but also support families in times of need with resources and guidance for caring for their own pets.

We are entirely volunteer run for all rescue operations— no paid directors, employees, or rescue volunteers. Most of our volunteers work full-time jobs and generously donate their evenings and weekends to help animals. We operate a retail Thrift Store in Evergreen, CO, with all profits directly supporting our rescue efforts. The store is staffed by paid employees and a team of caring volunteers. Rescue, rehabilitate and rehome abandoned pets through our foster program and our cat adoption centers. Reunite lost pets with their families via lost & found records. Assist families in our community and in other parts of Colorado with caring for their pets. Provide pet registration tags.
