  • About Us

The East Side Organizing Project (ESOP) builds organized grassroots leadership around issues that impact neighborhood life in Cleveland. ESOP works with community residents, schools, businesses, churches and other neighborhood institutions to identify issues, and take actions that create safe, economically strong and stable communities for all residents. Decisions about strategy and organizational direction are made by ESOP members, since the people most impacted by community issues are in the best position to create and implement solutions. ESOP is currently working on predatory lending, community reinvestment, day laborer organizing and community benefits agreements.
