    A Castro neighborhood organization (in San Francisco) committed to improving and maintaining the public space named for Harvey Milk, the civil rights icon, so that he may continue to inspire others worldwide and for generations to come. Friends of Harvey Milk Plaza acknowledges that Harvey Milk Plaza is sacred ground for LGBT civil rights history and has launched an effort to create a fitting tribute at this location to that history and to Harvey Milk.
