    Assistance League of Charlotte is a nonprofit volunteer service organization dedicated to identifying, developing, implementing and funding philanthropic projects to serve the needs of the Charlotte Mecklenburg (NC)Community. At present, four philantropic projects are supported: OPERATION CHECK HUNGER (Snacks at School Program); OPERATION SCHOOL BELL (providing new school clothing for elementary students and Operation Bookbag ((providing bookbags of school supplies for home fire victims through the Amercian Red Cross));MECKLENBURG COUNTY TEEN COURT (an alternative justice program for first time offenders under age 15)and Assistance League of Charlotte Scholarship in Memory of Tere Berigan.
