    The Institute DerHumALC was born in 1997 with the idea of stimulating reflection and debate around Human Rights issues with the participation of civil society by promoting the construction of a common and pluralist space while encouraging the use of audiovisual material in formal and non-formal education.

    From March 1997, the Institute DerHumALC started its activity with the launch of the first DerHumALC International Film Festival on Human Rights.
