The Dr. Hawa Abdi Foundation (DHAF) believes that all human beings are equal and have capacity to be self-sustainable when given access to basic human rights. The founder, Dr. Hawa Abdi is a Nobel Peace Prize Nominee who has dedicated 30 years of her service to providing free healthcare, education, food and clean water to over 90,000 internally displaced persons. DHAF is unique in that it is Somali-run and a solutions-oriented organization that seek to provide Somalis with the skills, resources, and knowledge to stand on their own feet.
