  • Mission

The Food and Farm Program at the VYCC empowers youth to unite with their community to address the complex issues of hunger, nutrition, food access, sustainable agriculture, and responsible land use.

    About Us

The Food and Farm Program at the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps offers paid positions, internships, and credit-bearing opportunities to youth in Northwestern Vermont. These experiences allow young people to get their hands dirty and learn how to grow food. This unique employment training paired with nutrition and financial education empowers youth to pursue their personal and career goals and unite with their communities. The food produced on the Richmond farm is distributed to Vermont families in need through our Health Care Share Program, a farm to institution partnership with medical centers in Chittenden, Washington, and Orleans counties.

We need volunteers to help with a diverse range of activities on the farm depending on the season - from seeding crops to packing up the Health Care Shares. Reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator Claire Londagin at Claire.londagin@vycc.org for more information! We love to have both individuals and groups join us for volunteer work days and events!
