Mid-Atlantic Regional Cooperative

The Mid-Atlantic Regional Cooperative (MARC), based in Philadelphia, acquires and distributes fresh produce and other grocery items to its Feeding America member food banks in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. The cooperative's mission is to help its member food banks fight hunger in their communities by supplying foods high in quality, variety, nutrition, and value. The MARC operates under Feeding Pennsylvania, a Pennsylvania-based 501(c)3 nonprofit.

The MARC is a regional co-op of Feeding America. It exists to provide access to a wider variety of affordable produce to food banks in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, as well as to support the hardworking farmers and food distributors in our region by absorbing and redistributing their surplus items.

The MARC primarily serves food banks located in the 13 states of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions from our warehouse located in Philadelphia, PA. Our mixing center is located in the Philadelphia Wholesale Produce Market, one of the biggest cold storage facilities in the country. This affords us the ability to bring in a high volume and variety of product, while maintaining a stable cold chain throughout the shipping and receiving process.
