About Us
Our Department of Family and Children Services (F&CS) at the East Harlem Council for Community Improvement aims to provide strength-based family support to the immigrant and underserved populations in the East Harlem and Harlem Communities. Our primary goal is keeping children safe in their homes with their biological parents, preventing the placement or re-entry of these children into the foster care system.
