ANANDA CENTER AT LAURELWOOD

  • Mission

Ananda Center at Laurelwood is an educational non-profit (501 (c) 3), dedicated to providing a setting where Education for Life can be explored. Education for Life is an approach to life that embraces each experience, each challenge as an opportunity for growth and understanding. Based in the universal spiritual teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda and Swami Kriyanada, Ananda Center at Laurelwood is home to every path that leads to expanding awareness and harmony.

    About Us

Ananda Laurelwood is sited on 225 acres in the Laurelwood Valley, just west of Portland Oregon. Fertile soils, pure spring water, rolling hills, inspiring views, abundant wildlife and the close proximity of Bald Peak all provide a setting conducive to expansive thinking, creativity, exploration and a sense of harmony with life. Offerings include space for personal retreats and group conferences, monthly weekend meditation courses, weekly volunteer farm days, and both short-term and long-term residential educational programming for those interested in an immersion experience in spiritual practice and sustainable living.

The Karma Yoga residential internship program offers a transformational experience in integrating spiritual practice, service, and community support. Internships include the opportunity to learn and serve in all aspects of our community or to immerse yourself in a particular focus area such as vegetarian cooking, conscious compassion-based eldercare, small-scale organic farming, or an art experience week. Full-time and part-time residential programs begin each month with pricing starting at just $275.
