  • About Us

Volunteers of America of Minnesota (VOA-MN, VOA) is a private non-profit, human service agency that began its mission “to provide opportunities which will make a significant, lasting impact in the lives of program participants and to elicit community support for program participants” in 1896 with a charter from the national organization, Volunteers of America. VOA-MN pursues this mission by empowering program participants with the motivation, education, support, and competencies necessary for age and disability-appropriate independence and self-reliance. VOA-MN strengthens communities by fostering within them the readiness to support their citizens in achieving this independence and self-reliance.
