Charis Youth Ranch

Charis Youth Ranch is a sanctuary for kids and horses. We have been rescuing horses and partnering them with at-risk kids in equine assisted learning programs since 2009. The impact in reducing depression, anxiety and mental illness due to bullying, or life stress has been immeasurable to many kids as well as adults. We have seen a change in kids' self-esteem, lowered anxiety and depression through our programs.

Charis is a safe place for kids to hang out and have fun, where the cares of this world can be forgotten for a time. We support troubled youth with love and acceptance, provide healthy boundaries to keep them safe and teach them horsemanship skills to improve kids' communication, confidence and mental health.

Currently located in Wellington and Fort Collins, Colorado, we have 11 horses in our care from age 10 to 30 years old.
