Denny Salas for NYC City Council District 1

Denny Salas, NYC City Council Candidate for District 1, is looking for volunteers passionate about effecting long-lasting change in New York City. For far too long, establishment figures have been beholden to local political interests and clubs without caring about the entire community. Denny’s campaign is focused on changing the politics of the past and implementing change that benefits the community as a whole, not just the privileged few. 

The Democratic primary election for this race is not until June 2021, but the work starts now! We are looking for motivated individuals who will use their creativity to implement new ideas to assist Denny in getting elected.

Available Roles:

Voter Outreach Lead - The role is to develop and execute a comprehensive, high-touch voter/community engagement plan that includes door knocking, canvassing, and text/phone campaigns. As with all facets of this campaign, the field organizer will play a key role in educating the public on the issues Denny stands for and why they are essential to the district.

This role will report to the Volunteer Director and work closely to recruit canvassers to accomplish the campaign’s voter outreach goals.

Canvassers - In the volunteer canvasser role, you will reach out to voters via dropping off literature, calling, texting, and reaching out via social media.
