About Jon Tollefson: Former U.S. diplomat Jon Tollefson is running for the Minnesota House seat in District 44B (Minnetonka, Plymouth, Woodland). Jon grew up in Minnetonka, proudly graduated from Hopkins High School and continues to live in the district with his partner, Josh. Jon’s experience includes diplomatic service abroad in Nigeria and Mexico and at the State Department’s headquarters in Washington D.C. as the public diplomacy officer for Somalia. Since returning from abroad, Jon has been a science and technology advocate at the Minnesota State Capitol for the Minnesota High Tech Association.
