  • About Us

Academy of Medical & Public Health Services (“AMPHS”) is a not-for-profit organization founded in 2010 and dedicated to offering accessible healthcare to underserved immigrant populations. AMPHS strongly believes that healthcare is a basic human right, not a privilege. In the face of health reform where many immigrants still face barriers to access while greatly needing medical care even more so than others, AMPHS strives to coordinate the clinical and social service needs of underprivileged communities. In doing so, AMPHS serves as the trusted primary care coordinator of healthcare access, resources, and education for individuals and families at the community level.

In 2012, AMPHS was named a Nonprofiteer of the Year finalist, standing among the likes of President Clinton's Clinton Global Initiative. In 2013, AMPHS was recognized as a Top-Rated Nonprofit by GreatNonprofits, being described as a high-impact, highly efficient direct service organization. In 2014, AMPHS was again named a Top-Rated Nonprofit, and additionally awarded Gold level GuideStar Exchange status for a demonstrated high level of commitment to accountability and transparency among not-for-profit organizations to the public. In 2015, AMPHS was awarded the EmblemHealth Commitment to Care Award for its dedication to community service.
