Catholic Charities of the East Bay
Moving children, youth, and families from Crisis to Stability to Prosperity.
The Catholic Church is the largest provider of social services throughout Alameda and Contra Costa counties, and Catholic Charities is the visible face of the Diocese in that work. Founded in 1935, we are devoted to providing social services and advocacy to the working poor and underserved in Alameda and Contra Costa County. We are rooted in the belief that a strong family is the foundation of a moral vision for society. Dedicated to the pursuit of safety and justice, we are agents of change for the marginalized, regardless of their religious faith. Through our array of services, we move children, youth and families from Crisis to Stability to Prosperity.
CCEB programs are a reflection of the teachings of Christ, rooted in love, compassion and dignity for all.
- Welcoming the Stranger: we offer legal immigration, refugee employment and refugee resettlement services to those in need.
- Fostering Self-sufficiency: we support the community through case management, crisis response, restorative practices and victim support programs.
- Healing Trauma: we assist, train and advocate for individuals and families through employment, housing, literacy, tax assistance, parish and senior programs.
CCEB programs focus on families in need and address core issues that lead to poverty and homelessness. CCEB makes a strong impact in the high-need communities in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.
