Red Door Community

Formerly known as Gilda’s Club NYC, RDC provides a welcoming community of FREE cancer support to bring knowledge, hope and empowerment to anyone and everyone impacted by any type of cancer. Our innovative program is an essential complement to cancer care, providing support groups, educational lectures, healthy lifestyle workshops and social activities. Over 13,000 individuals are reached annually – adults, teens and children. Since 1995, when our iconic Red Door opened, we have been providing free cancer support in the spirit, courage and humor of our original namesake, Gilda Radner, the talented comedian and first cast member of Saturday Night Live, who passed away in 1989 from ovarian cancer. RDC is committed to expanding our program and broadening our reach to meet the growing needs of individuals living with cancer, in more places and in more ways than ever before.
