Soleil Global is a for purpose 501(c)(3) organization working to empower communities living in energy poverty through innovative, affordable, and sustainable energy solutions. By forging partnerships with organizations on the ground, we are able to connect with communities that would otherwise remain underserved. Together we educate and equip communities with technology that addresses health, safety, and environmental concerns, while promoting education and economic development.
Our current campaign seeks to end energy poverty for the approximately 8 million Haitians, roughly 80% of the population, who do not have access to electricity. Soleil Global is working with local partners in Haiti to distribute solar powered lights to rural households in the Central Plateau. Solar lights are a clean, safe, and affordable alternative to fuel-based energy sources such as kerosene. In addition to surveying each beneficiary for monitoring and evaluation purposes, Soleil Global discusses the benefits of renewable energy and provides training on how to use the solar lights.
