About Us
The Loudoun County Chapter of the American Red Cross has been providing vital community services since March 9, 1917. Under our Congressional Charter, established in 1905, the American Red Cross is required to respond in times of emergency. Yet, we are not a tax-payer funded government agency.
Services the Loudoun County Chapter of the American Red Cross provides to the community are
Assistance for families affected by disaster by providing them with immediate food, lodging, clothing, and prescriptions; Assistance to members of the military and their families by providing emergency communication, financial assistance and illness/death notifications; Assistance to international clients by reuniting lost family members and complete holocaust tracing; Provided training in lifesaving techniques such as CPR, first aid, babysitting, swimming, water safety and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs); Assistance to the seniors of Loudoun County with transportation to necessary medical apointments that would otherwise be missed.
