The mission of Solid Rock Community School is to honor the uniqueness of its students by trusting their natural, God-given abilities, respecting them as individuals, and providing them with educational opportunities in which equal status is given to all pursuits. We provide a learning environment that challenges every student’s intellectual potential, nurtures their personal development, equips them to pursue their goals, and encourages them to be responsible, involved citizens.
Solid Rock cares about the health of our students and the sustainability of our planet. In 2018 in cooperation with the Coalition of Healthy School Food, Healing America, and Dr. T. Colin Campbell, Solid Rock Community School has established an initiative called “Eat More Plants and Save the Planet”. Our school is Green school certified and Ocean Friendly Certified.
Based on SRCS’s commitment to sustainability, improved health and wellness, and cooking with compassion in 2019 we hired a full time chef and began offering a full plant-based menu. We want our students to eat fresh healthy great tasting food and to be aware of how diet affects them personally and our entire planet!
The emphasis of the school is on individualized whole-child development, and SRCS is dedicated to providing a challenging educational program that meets our students’ academic, social, physical, and emotional needs. The schools two motto’s- “Experience the Solid Rock Difference” and “Educating Out of the Box” refer to the uniqueness of our educational program, which is quickly noted and experienced by all who attend.
Solid Rock Community School is a private not-for-profit interdenominational school that is not affiliated with any denomination. We are dedicated to providing a challenging educational program for students from a variety of backgrounds. We provide a firm foundation, not only for success in school, but for success in a very challenging world.
