Blind Painters

Foundation The Blind Painters was founded in January 1994. The foundation has creative and non-commercial aims and works on a contemporary art level as well as on a social-cultural and educational level. In the past, The Blind Painters arranged and held exhibitions all over Europe and organised exchange-programmes between artists from several parts of the world. In the last years the foundation was focussed on the 'europartrain' project by developing concepts, initiation of contacts and as the main executive. Besides several side-line projects like theatre and music performance also artist laboratories, educational programmes and podium discussions were initiated. The foundation is conducted by artists, art-historians and volunteers and receives a structural state subsidy for the full time employment of five people.
