    About Us

Holman Athletic Performance Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Kansas City, Missouri, dedicated to empowering youth through sports, education, and mentorship. Founded by former Ohio State Football player Coach Holman, the foundation was created to break down barriers to participation in youth athletics and development programs-especially for underserved families.

Our vision is to build strong bodies, sharp minds, and resilient character. We do this by offering affordable access to flag football leagues, sports training, after-school enrichment, and community events that promote leadership, teamwork, and positive lifestyle habits. We believe that sports are a powerful tool not only for physical fitness, but also for building confidence, responsibility, and life skills.

Over the years, we’ve provided hundreds of local youth with opportunities to compete, grow, and thrive-often through scholarship-supported programming. Our flagship initiative, Hyde Park Heroes Flag Football, serves children ages 3 to 13 and focuses on developing character just as much as athletic ability.

We’re proud to be a grassroots organization built on community connection, mentorship, and the belief that every child deserves a shot to succeed-on and off the field.
