The Service-Politics Institute
Service-politics addresses broad disenchantment with the political process by bridging the divide between direct service work and political action. Service-politics connects those passionate about service and social entrepreneurship to those engaged in political change and policy-making, linking non-profit organizations, diverse volunteer groups with a focus on young people, candidates and elected officials. From the initial, issue oriented service projects emerge coalition action tanks that continue the work towards greater change. We believe service politics can revolutionize the political process, as well as the way society views community service, bringing new understanding to the idea of local politics and meaningful, community-based change.
