  • About Us

The mission of this volunteer run non-profit is to help advance research that will lead to treatments and cures for serious brain disease & conditions such as: epilepsy, addiction, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Autism, Schizophrenia, etc. IESBRF attracts bright students to the field of neuroscience via Summer Fellowships in Neuroscience, in hopes they will add to the work of the senior scientists. The inspiration for IESBRF, Dr. Eric Simon discovered opiate receptors in the brain and coined the word, Endorphin. Funding for the programs is through volunteer run fundraisers: Endorphin 5K to Fight Brain Disease, Golf Outing & Dinner for Brain Disease Cures and the Fall Dinner.
