HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF THE EASTERN BIGHORNS

  • Mission

To eliminate poverty housing from Sheridan County and make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.

    About Us

In 1994, a small group of dedicated volunteers established Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns in an effort to create homeownership opportunities for families with limited income. Their goal was to partner with homeowners, volunteers and community organizations to build sustainable, affordable homes in northeastern Wyoming’s Sheridan County. Twenty years and thousands of volunteers later, Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns has completed 36 homes in partnership with local communities and has opened a ReStore warehouse. Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns addresses the critical need for affordable housing by providing home ownership opportunities for Sheridan families in need. We serve families whose income is 30 percent - 60 percent of the current median income, as defined by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development for Wyoming.
