  • Mission

Pulaski County Imagination Library strives to create a lifelong love of reading in young children, prepare them for school, and inspire them to dream more, learn more, care more, and be more by providing developmentally appropriate books to children from birth to five throughout Pulaski County, AR.

    About Us

Pulaski County Imagination Library is an affiliate of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, a book-gifting program that mails free books to children from birth to age five in participating communities. Inspired by her father’s inability to read and write, Dolly started an exciting new effort in 1995, her Imagination Library, to benefit the children within her home county in East Tennessee, USA. Dolly’s vision was to foster a love of reading among her county’s preschool children and their families by providing them with the gift of a specially selected book each month. Today, her program spans four countries and mails over 1 million free books each month to children around the world.
