The Las Vegas Area Council delivers the programs of the Boy Scouts of America to the youth of southern Nevada and western Arizona. We work in partnership with local chartering organizations, community partners, parents and volunteers to help serve the youth registered to Scouting programs.
Scouting teaches young men and women values that will help them throughout their lifetimes. By instilling the values of the Scout Oath and Law we are able to prepare leaders for the future, instill duty to God and build long-lasting friendships.
We are also mounting a program called Base Camp Las Vegas. Base Camp Las Vegas programs will be offered for both Scouts and non-Scouts utilizing the Scouting Resource Center and Englestad Scout Park. These programs will Introduce families not currently being served by scouting, to a "third place" beyond home, school and work where they're comfortable, able to find guidance, and experience a compelling sense of community and belonging. Base Camp Las Vegas will provide activity-based curriculum powered by scouting’s citizenship, leadership, outdoor, STEM, and Scout Oath & Law principles and can be used to support and enhance the other BSA programs.
