Friends of the Harriet L. Hartley Conservation Area

  • About Us

FHLHCA was formed in 2019 to advocate for the health and preservation of the Midcoast Maine coastline, rivers and coastal watersheds, and in particular the legal defense of an 8-acre intertidal conservation area in Brown’s Cove at the mouth of the Little River in Belfast, Maine threatened by industrial aquaculture development. It has total membership of over 300 individuals and offers a member educational program by Zoom once a month. It is run by a nine member volunteer Board of Directors.
