Danny Woo Community Garden/ InterIm CDA

  • About Us

The Danny Woo Garden is a 1.5 acre green space in the International District that provides approximately 70 neighborhood residents with garden plots. The majority of the gardeners are low-income, immigrant elders, who, through the garden, are able to supplement their diets with fresh, culturally-appropriate food, and have a space in which to exercise and socialize. The Danny Woo Garden also works with Seattle youth in our children's garden. We run experiential education programs for youth from preschool through high school, teaching a seed-to-plate garden education curriculum.

The Danny Woo Community Garden is a part of its parent organization InterIm CDA. InterIm CDA is a comprehensive community development corporation in the business of promoting, advocating, and revitalizing the Chinatown/International District and other Asian and Pacific Islander communities in the Puget Sound area for the benefit of low-and moderate-income residents and community business owners.
