  • About Us

Founded in 2010, Students Making a Change is a student-led, multi-racial organizing project aimed to close the achievement gap at CCSF and increase retention and transfer rates for underrepresented student populations (with a focus on African American, Latino, Pacific Islander, and Filipino students). To accomplish this, SMAC provides skill building, leadership development and academic support/planning for its members, promotes civic engagement among the broader student population, and advocates for a broad range of policy changes.
