About Us
Busara is a research and advisory firm that works with clients to apply BE insights, focusing on behavioral
interventions and testing, and also runs experimental lab and field studies for academics from around the
world. Busara has about 140 full time staff across five countries: Kenya (by far the biggest office), Tanzania,
Uganda, Ethiopia and Nigeria. Our academic partners are mainly from top institutions, including Princeton,
Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Oxford, Strathmore, among other universities. On the advisory side, we work with
a wide range of public and private partners that work primarily in the development space. So far we have
completed more than 100 projects across our different portfolios, including financial inclusion, governance
and accountability, health and agriculture.
