    San Francisco Public Library Commissioner Michael Breyer is running for California State Assembly in District 19. Breyer is a small businessman who co-founded a technology company that broadcasts court proceedings to the public to provide greater transparency in government. As the great-grandson of a San Francisco Supervisor, grandson of the first lawyer for the San Francisco School Board, the son of a Supreme Court Justice and nephew of federal judge, Michael's family has a long history of public service. Assembly District 19 is a broad and diverse region stretching from western San Francisco down into the Peninsula communities of Daly City, Colma, Broadmoor, and South San Francisco.
