About Us

REACH is a community based organization providing meals, emergency shelter and support services to neighbors who are homeless or near homelessness in South King County. Our shelter has room for 55 individuals and accommodates families of all genders. Our shelter provides housing navigation; stabilization services including education and employment support; daily needs including access to showers, laundry, clothes and meals; and wrap around services including social work support, physical and mental health services, employment and education assistance, and financial counseling. The aim of this program is to help those who are homeless move back into housing as soon as possible. We also provide an accessible meal daily for anyone in the community who needs it. The meal provides for peoples’ very basic needs and allows us to build relationship with those who are marginalized and isolated so that over time we might move them to a constructive relationship with service providers. At the heart of REACH’s work is a desire and a capacity to build community-wide responses to social inequity. We prioritize the dignity and strengths of those with whom we work.
