Gratis Studio, Inc
Gratis Studio offers arts education to youth in under served areas. The students we work with are considered at-risk, and most come from Denver's lowest-income and highest-crime neighborhoods. Because we believe access to art is transformative, all of our programs are free to impoverished young people, bringing opportunities to overlooked, at- risk youth who otherwise might not have access to fine arts programs.
Gratis Studio offers a structured learning atmosphere for disadvantaged youth in grades K-12. Young people receive experiential arts education in drawing, painting, book-binding, printmaking, pottery, collage, photography and more. Students at Gratis experience a supportive environment in which they can express themselves creatively while gaining self-confidence and developing skills that are transferable to other academic subjects and to life.
Gratis Studio makes a positive difference in the lives of young people. We assist them in unleashing their highest potential to become confident, capable, and socially responsible individuals. Our program advances the study, appreciation, understanding, and enjoyment of the visual arts, while igniting the imagination, encouraging self-expression, and creating opportunities in the community for young artists.
