Feed My People Food Bank
Feed My People's mission is to end hunger in west central Wisconsin. We distribute nearly 30,000 pounds of food every day (over 7 million annually) to over 125 partner agencies in 14 counties. These programs include food pantries, onsite meal programs, shelters, backpack meal programs for kids and mobile pantries. This happens by maximizing the use of surplus food and improving access for those in need. We do so in cooperation with other community organizations and agencies. We also seek to heighten awareness of hunger and poverty issues, emphasizing the importance food plays in achieving healthy communities with full participation by all. We have developed many programs including our Weekend Kids' Meal program, our Senior Hunger program and our Residence Food Pantry program to reach additional individuals. We work with Veteran's Assistance and the Aging and Disability Resource Center/Meals on Wheels to provide food boxes to veterans and seniors citizens. We partner with the Eau Claire School District Homeless program to provide food to homeless families and work with several school food pantries. We will continue to look for innovative ways to provide healthy food to more individuals in need.
