COVID Grief Network

  • About Us

COVID Grief Network (CGN) is an international mutual aid network that provides free grief support for people in their 20s and 30s grieving the serious illness or death of someone close due to COVID-19.

The COVID-19 pandemic laid bare the major gap in accessible support services for young adults in grief, especially for those most marginalized. CGN was founded to meet the rising demand for grief support, to increase access to crucial grief and bereavement services, and to reduce the isolation that often comes with being the first in a peer group to lose someone close. As the only organization focused on COVID loss specifically for young adults, CGN has served as a lifeline for people in their 20s and 30s in the U.S. and around the world.

Since May 2020, more than 550 young adults from 44 U.S. states and 22 countries have joined the Network for individual or group-based support, with 88% hailing from the U.S. 55% of young adults in the Network identify as a person of color, and nearly one-in-five identify as LGBTQ+.
